Digital Learning Designer - Job Description

Location: New Delhi

Reports to: COO-Empower Pragati

Youvati is a beauty super app developed by Empower Pragati. Our mission is to support women beauty professionals primarily early-stage entrepreneurs and mid-stage professionals in the beauty sector by helping them upskill themselves and get access to business and marketing tools to grow their business. We focus on creating engaging educational experiences that help beauticians develop professionally. We are looking for a Learning Designer to help shape our digital learning products to ensure they are learner-centric, and impactful.

Role Overview

The Learning Designer will be responsible for developing learner-centric experiences that are engaging, interactive, and effective. You will work closely with subject matter experts, video creators, live workshops lead and product manager to design courses and learning paths for the learner.

The ideal candidate has a passion for learning especially in the social impact space, a deep understanding of instructional design principles, and experience creating innovative, technology-driven learning experiences.

1. Creating thoughtful learning blueprints

 - Lead the process of creating relevant learning outcomes in consultation with subject matter experts and in reference to domain knowledge

- Lead the end-to-end design of courses, learning activities, and assessments that are aligned with learning objectives and desired outcomes.

- Develop learning paths that cater to the Youvati learner (hinglish speaking, low-reading levels, beauty professionals, entrepreneurial women)

2. Content Development & Storyboarding

- Work with the team to finalise the content development process including incorporating data collection at appropriate times

- Create detailed storyboards, scripts, and blueprints for multimedia content, including video lessons and quizzes

- Guide subject matter experts to guide them to create the material 

- Collaborate with content creators and video specialist to bring learning content to life, ensuring it is pedagogically sound and engaging.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration

   - Work with subject matter experts to gather and validate content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with industry trends.

  - Seek out content experts for specific topics and support building the partnership

   - Collaborate with the product, tech, and user experience teams to design platform features that enhance learning.

   - Engage with learners and analyse feedback to iterate and improve learning experiences.

Required Skills & Qualifications

-> 4-5 years of experience designing digital curriculum - using videos for learning, developing questions to check learner understanding

OR

-> Creative content creation background

-> Hands-on teaching experience

-> Strong communication skills

-> Excellent collaboration skills, with an ability to work with cross-functional teams.

-> Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, quality & strong pedagogical focus

-> Strategic Thinking to ensure content design is aligned with organisational goals

-> Bonus points if you have had any work experience in the beauty sector
